The Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS) announces a call for the academic year 2021-2022, based on qualifications and exams, for a total of 5 places at the Faculty of Humanities for the Ph.D. courses in the following subjects:

Site of Pisa
Philosophy: 1 place
Italian studies and modern philology: 1 place
Classics: 1 place
History: 1 place
Art History: 1 place
 
All successful candidates will be awarded scholarships and additional resources for their study and research activities; enrolment and attendance on the courses are free of charge.
 
 
All candidates in this competition may also submit an application to participate in the competition for PhD positions for the Faculty of Humanities of the Scuola Normale Superiore for graduates of Italian and foreign universities without reserving places.

Additional places in collaboration with external institutions may be made available for this call before the deadline for submission of applications.
