Promoting change in school through collaborative practices: professional communities of learning as a framework of collaborative action
Aims: a) To explore ways of forming professional communities of learning in schools and the role of university professors as coordinators in developing and operating such groups, b) To evaluate the contribution of such a collaborative and participatory operation to change the school culture, to the critical and emancipatory orientation of educational process and to the empowerment of teachers and pupils. For a period of two years we collected data from four schools where collective interventions took place with the facilitation of advisors - university researchers. In view of forming learning communities in school, the research team will analyze these data so as to illuminate the process of forming such communities (obstacles, facilitating factors, the role of the advisor – facilitator, etc.).
