Restoration of the Arabic Papyri in Fustat, Egypt

Cooperation between the joint Università degli Studi di Milano – Institut français d’archéologie orientale (IFAO) and concerning the restoration and conservation papyri at Fustat, Cairo. Since 2010 for a period of 2 weeks every year Dr. Nikos Litinas undertook a work, which was conducted at the request of the Institut français d’archéologie orientale (IFAO) in order to facilitate publication of the documents by Dr. Sobhi Buderbala. He restored approximately 300 Arabic papyri, which were preserved in very poor condition at Fustat, Cairo, Egypt.
