Research on views of sport in Rethymno during the 20th century, the history of Arcadia competitions and the perception of the local society

The project based on the cooperation of social analysis and Applied Social Research Laboratory with the Region of Crete in order to study the chronicle of sport history in the city of Rethymnon, reveal the ideological context of Arkadia completions and the investigation of specific dimensions of sport, cultural and social history of the city during the course of the 20^th century. The research employs life histories, photographic material, and indexed newspapers, magazines and private archives sources.
