Exploring our training through Action Research within the Programme “Adult Education and Alternative Programmes of Participative Leadership”
Short Description
The action research was undertaken by six Head-teachers in Primary Schools of Chania. The purpose was to study their educational perceptions, especially those regarding the role of Head-teachers and their administrative and educational practices in school. Our aim was to improve school praxis, which they defined with criteria related to their self-empowerment and that of the teachers in their school. Other criteria were related to the emancipation by factors alienating teachers from their work and the possibility to transform the educational reality in their school.
