Primary Student Teachers’ Training in Inquiry Based Science Teaching

This research program explored the ability of future teachers to develop and implement a set of experimental activities using microcomputer systems. Students from the Department of Primary Education of the University of Crete participated in the study, divided into groups of two, selecting a specific area of physics (eg, mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism etc) and developed experimental activities with microcomputer systems. The students then applied these experimental activities to students of 5th  and 6th grade of primary school.
