Short Description
It is a papyrus collection, which was bought in 1998 by the Department of Philology, University of Crete, and is now kept in a special room of the University Library. These papyri come from Egypt, they are written in Greek and are dated in the Ptolemaic period. Nikos Litinas has undertaken their conservation, restoration and publication. The University through the Laboratory has got permission to own this collection to the 25th Ephorate and the Ministry of Culture. Nikos Litinas with Konstantinos Tasoulas and Panagiota Vlachaki, graduate students of the Department of Philology and postgraduate students of the Department of History, prepare the first volume of the edition.
