The primary objective of the International Conference “Migrations: Interdisciplinary Challenges”, is to contribute to the establishment of an interdisciplinary dialogue on Migration. The conference is co-organized by the University of Crete Research Center for the Humanities, the Social and Education Sciences (UCRC) and the Regional Unit of Rethymnon/ Region of Crete, with the support of the Municipality of Rethymnon.

The scientific event will take place at the Gallos University Campus (Amphitheatre D3-7Α) in October 17 & 18, 2019 and will bring together internationally prominent scholars and researchers working on Migration from a diverse array of fields: Anthropology, History, Prehistoric Archaeology, Linguistics, Education Sciences, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, Social Medicine, and Philosophy. Delving into different aspects of this intricate phenomenon, the conference will also strongly encourage interdisciplinary collaborations between experienced and young researchers in Greece and abroad.
